 Emma V. Bailey DO

Emma graduated from The British School of Osteopathy in 1988, and established Rush, Bailey and Associates with Mark Rush in 1989. Alongside this, she worked for five years at a variety of assistantships in practices in St.Albans, Sawbridgeworth and Sevenoaks, gaining invaluable experience  from more established and highly respected Osteopaths.

For the last thirty years she has worked in St Albans alongside Mark and more recently Claire and Zahrah.. She remains enthusiastic and tireless in her belief in the benefits of Osteopathy and regularly attends courses and lectures to widen and update her range of expertise. Her interest in symmetry within the body and its effect on function has always been a deep interest for her in her clinical assessment and treatment plans. Most recently pursuing knowledge and expertise in taping and fascial work to improve lymph drainage and mechanics post surgery, particularly with breast cancer patients, and using similar principles with post viral patients and those with chronic illnesses is proving beneficial to many.

She has always had a particular interest in respiratory mechanics and its relationship to musculoskeletal pain, this includes for example, the effects of asthma, hay fever and anxiety on the way that we breathe and function.

Emma is passionate about delivering the holistic aspect of Osteopathy within her treatment approach and enjoys working together with her patients to a positive outcome.
